SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 28
(By Senators Chafin and Wagner)
Recognizing the Iaeger High School wrestling team for
participating in the state Class AA tournament.
Whereas, The Iaeger High School wrestling team competed in
the Class AA Region IV tournament and finished in the top four of
their weight class, qualifying them for the state tournament; and
Whereas, The Iaeger Cubs participated in the state
tournament with Steven Blankenship winning the state championship
for his weight class, the first champion in the school's history.
Additionally, Adam Hagerman placed fourth and Scott Arwood placed
sixth in their weight class; and
Whereas, Head coach Harold Bright and the members of his
staff take great pride in the accomplishments of the Iaeger High
School wrestling team; and
Whereas, The athletic ability and outstanding sportsmanship
of team members Kenneth Maxwell, Michael Shelton, Gary Clevenger,
Jason Lively, Billy Brewster, Jamie Puckett, Greg Stacy, Ryan
Waddell, Jeff Hagerman and James Tye contributed greatly to the
successful season; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Iaeger High School
wrestling team for an outstanding season and for their
participation in the state tournament; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to head coach Harold Bright and
the members of the Iaeger High School wrestling team.
